Parks & RECREATION:

  • Conglomerate Gully Flora Reserve – A beautiful nature reserve famous for showcasing where the Western Grassland Planes meet the rolling hills of the Macedon Ranges. With a small seasonal waterfall and plenty of native wildlife, this scenic walk can be completed within an hour
  • Mount Macedon Memorial Cross – At 68 feet high, visit one of the most significant World War I memorials in Victoria located on the summit of Mount Macedon. Spectacular views towards Melbourne can be enjoyed from several locations enroute. Memorial Cross Loop Road, Mount Macedon, Victoria, 3441
  • Sanatorium Lake – Picture expansive bushland, an abundance of wildlife and a picturesque lake. This beautiful spot is perfect for several self-guided walks, horse riding and picnicking. Make sure to check out ‘The Murmuring Walk’, an enchanting audio guided walk accessible via your personal device.
  • Stanley Park – Wander through this beautiful nature reserve and stumble across a magical hidden waterfall that runs through the park. For the best views of the falls, there is either a viewing platform that overlooks the top of the falls or a small stone path that leads down to the fern gully!   • Forest Glade Gardens – A century old private landscaped garden that spans 14 acres and is divided by four select themes: English gardens, Japanese bonsais, Woodlands and a Fern Gully. You will find a variety of store holders selling fresh breads, meats, vegetables, fruits, preserves and wine from producers all over Victoria! Also featuring some great live local music.   • Woodend Community Farmers Market – Located on Woodend’s main shopping strip, this accredited farmers market sells fabulous wares and fresh regional produce.
